Thursday, July 23, 2009 Busy Two Weeks... Why does everything happen at once? I tried to arrange my calendar so that I'd have three or four weeks to put together my biennial big solo show at the Redtail Gallery. A very interesting architectural design project came up which took all my time up until three days ago. It's a high end hotel next to a casino...three domes merged together in an unusual way. I still haven't finished the newsletter for ISAP, hopefully this morning that will happen. Three days ago I was finally free to focus on the show...but so much to do!!! Could not have done it without lots of help from Loi and Max. Loi drove to galleries to collect paintings and addressed post cards. Max framed and wired and sanded. Yesterday, on time, we loaded two cars and delivered 59 paintings. Mark will select the show from those...maybe he'll hang about half. The opening will be this Friday night...5-8 at the Redtail Gallery, Sandpoint, Idaho. Loi and Rich will provide live music.

Creek in Spring A plein air from over a year ago. With the show at Redtail coming up I'm looking through stacks of work for keepers. This caught my eye and an hour or so pulled it together nicely.

Wednesday, July 1, 2009 First real beach day!
Sandpoint Beach Sat in the shade of a birch tree for an hour or so. Mostly pleasant. There was an amazing female child who was able to produce a shriek over 90 db, right at the pain threshold.
